What It Means To Share: Dinner for A Cause

The best feeling in this world is being able to share what we have to those who are in need. One of the highlights during the Centennial celebration of SMC on September 24-30, 2015 was a dinner party that was held on September 25 at the Maalman Christian Community Center at 7:00 – 11:00 o’clock in the evening and sponsored by the SMC Alumni Association.
The Dinner for a Cause fund raising drive was aimed to support the project of the school to construct new college classrooms and comfort rooms. Ms. Rizalita A. Mabalay, alumni coordinator, initiated in inviting and grouping the alumni members, benefactors and friends of SMC to this affair. The said occasion was also one way of welcoming the alumni coming from different places who came home to join the Centennial celebration of their beloved Alma Mater.
The program was hosted by Mrs. Marie Angeli Y. Jadloc. It was started with a Prayer led by Mr. Francis Carmelle T. Duero and a Welcome Address given by Mr. Edilberto S. Cortes, Alumni President, followed.
Talent Ablaze Season 2 winners stunned the guests with their various outstanding performances during the program. The performers included: Jansen, Kinjutsu, JR Fusion, Erika and KB. On the other hand, the SMC Choir composed of faculty, alumni and students rendered beautiful songs that kept the night alive and colorful.
As the guests enjoyed the delicious meal served, series of medley songs and instrumental music were played. Right after the acknowledgement given by Mr. Cortes and Miss Mabalay the “baile’ followed. The guests enjoyed dancing to the tune of their favorite music.
It was a night to remember for everyone who went home with happy heart enjoying the Michaelinian spirit of love and concern.
