TALENT ABLAZE SEASON 2: Michaelinian Clash of Talents

SMC has become the breeding ground of well known professionals in the community for 100 years. As it continues its mission to mold advanced individuals, the institution has remained simple despite its greatness. The culture of excellence in all its endeavors has been kept for decades and has become its distinctive mark.
In line with the centennial celebration of the school, Talent Ablaze Season 2, which was a clash of talents from the three departments, was held last September 24, 2015 at 7:00 o’clock in the evening at the MCCC. The gym was filled with spectators, mostly students and some parents to cheer for their bets, bringing with them their banners and even fan signs.
The said event started with an opening Prayer through an audio visual presentation and followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Mr. Nico Michael D. Huelma, director of the show, gave the welcome message, defining the objectives of the event. The hosts of the show were Mc Vincent L. Delos Arcos and Caren S. Cuartero, both college students. Mr. Algien A. Parker and Ms. Louvanne Jessa D. Orzales, college and high school faculty, respectively, introduced the panel of judges and read the mechanics of the talent showdown.
The categories were divided into two: Kids category participated by the elementary pupils and Teens category participated by the high school and college students. There were six entries from the kids’ category and ten entries from the teen’s category. The entries were:

There was so much noise from the audience due to excitement as each contestant was introduced. The MCCC was alive and clapping of hands was everywhere after every presentation. The talent ablazers were surely confident and giving their best presentation. Cherish, the grade school pupil who won the first place in the kids category during Talent Ablaze Season I, presented a song after the clash of talents that moved the audience to cheer for the kid.
The result was immediately announced. Vil Jansen “The Little Drummer Boy” of the Kids’ category and Kinjutsu from the Teen’s category brought home the title and were proclaimed Talent Ablaze Season 2 champion, respectively. The other contestants also received consolation prize each.
The night ended successfully. The supportive environment of the SMC family contributed to the realization of the Talent Ablaze Season 2. To the people behind the success of the event, congratulations and more power SMC.
