Michaelinians Celebrate Mama Mary’s Birthday
September 8 is a very special day to all Catholics because it is the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The birth of the Blessed Mother is significant to mankind because she was responsible for bringing to the world, our redeemer, the son of the Most High, our Lord Jesus Christ.
On this occasion, the Christian Formation prepared activities that all Michaelinians participated. The day started with the dawn Rosary Procession at 4:30 o’clock in the morning. A Eucharistic Celebration thanking the Father for the gift of the Blessed Virgin Mary to the world followed. Marian songs echoed in the whole campus during the whole day. Tribute to Mama Mary took place in the afternoon. The highlight of the Marian program was the Marian Interpretative Song contest in different categories. A Marian Quiz Bee by department between presentations of Marian Songs was conducted by the Christian Living/Religion/Theology teachers, too. The Animation led by Sr. Losaida C. Gonzales energized everyone. Songs of praise and thanksgiving were everywhere. Release of the balloons for Mama Mary by Sr. Vivina M. Init, SPC, Directress; Dr. Proserpina O. Yuhico, College Dean and Mrs. Diosdada A. Israel, High School Academic Coordinator closed the program.
